Raymond Michael Garvey - or as he’s better known Rea Garvey - is an Irish singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Tralee County Kerry who’s also known for being the frontman of German pop-rock outfit Reamonn. After moving to Germany to sell t-shirts at music festivals he formed the Reamonn outfit after placing an advert in a newspaper - they went on to release their debut album ‘Tuesday’ in 2000 selling over 150000 copies.
After collaborating with acts such as Jam & Spoon and Nelly Furtado on a number of singles he began working on some of his own and went on to release his debut solo album ‘Can’t Stand the Silence’ in 2011 hitting #4 in the German Albums chart. His second release ‘Can not Stand the Silence - The Encore’ came out in 2012. Garvey has since put out two more records; 2015's 'Primsa', which climbed to #2 in Germany, and his latest record, 2018's 'Neon', which achieved the same feat.
