AJJ, formerly known as Andrew Jackson Jihad, is an American folk rock band from Phoenix, Arizona, currently consisting of Sean Bonnette, Ben Gallaty, Preston Bryant and Mark Glick. Jumping between raucous folk-punk and more considered acoustic material, all underpinned by Bonnette’s lyrics, which are heartbreaking and hilarious in equal measure, they have to date released five studio records.
Formed in 2004, the band released their debut album, ‘Candy Cigarettes & Cap Guns’, in 2005, followed by ‘People Who Can Eat People Are the Luckiest People in the World’ in 2007, ‘Can't Maintain’ in 2009, ‘Knife Man’ and ‘Christmas Island’ in 2014. The band released their latest album, ‘The Bible 2’, in 2016. AJJ have announced a show at Cardiff’s Clwb Ifor Bach in May, as well as a slot supporting Skinny Lister.
