Alexander O’Neal is an R&B and soul singer from Natchez, Mississippi.

In addition to his work as a solo artist, he is also well known as a member of The Time, alongside Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Monte Moir. He left the band in 1985, releasing his self-titled debut album later that year, and has since gone on to drop a total of ten studio albums to date. His most recent, 'Hearsay 30', arrived in 2017.
