Amon Amarth are a melodic death metal band from Tumba, Sweden, consisting of Olavi Mikkonen, Johan Hegg, Ted Lundström, Johan Söderberg and Jocke Wallgren.
Formed in 1992, the band released their debut album, ’Once Sent from the Golden Hall’, in 1998. They have since gone on to add a further 11 studio records to their discography, including, most recently, 2022's 'The Great Heathen Army'. As well as headlining their own shows, they have also toured alongside the likes of Machine Head, Slayer, Ghost and Megadeth. Amon Amarth will return to North America in spring 2024 with the Metal Crushes All Tour, featuring support from Cannibal Corpse, Obituary and Frozen Soul.
