Birmingham City Football Club were founded as Small Heath Alliance in 1875, in acknowledgement to the area in which the club was born, by members of the Holy Trinity Church. In 1905, the club was changed to Birmingham, with "City" added to the name 30 years later.
They play their home matches at St. Andrew's Stadium and consider their main rivals to be Aston Villa, their nearest neighbours geographically, with whom they contest the Second City derby. Other rivalries include West Midlands clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion. They're yet to win a Premier League title or the FA Cup, though they have reached the final twice, in 1931 and 1956. Their only major trophy is the League Cup, which they won in 1963 and 2011.
