Bloc Party are an alternative rock band from London.

Formed in 2003, the band released their debut album ‘Silent Alarm’ in 2005, which earned them a Mercury Prize nomination. They released two more studio records before announcing their hiatus, to concentrate on other projects. They returned again in 2012, putting out a further three studio records, including their most recent, 2022's 'Alpha Games'.

The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the UK and have played some of the UK's biggest festivals and events, such as Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury, BBC Electric Proms and the NME Awards Tour.

Bloc Party will headline Live At Leeds In The Park in May 2025, ahead of 20 Year Anniversary Shows at the Castlefield Bowl Manchester, Electric Bay Festival Torquay, Cannons Marsh Amphitheatre Bristol, Splendour in Nottingham and Brighton's On The Beach in July. The band will also tour North America with Metric that May and June, with Bloc Party running through 2005's 'Silent Alarm' and Metric celebrating 2009's 'Fantasies'.
