Blood Ceremony are a Canadian doom metal outfit hailing from Toronto. Formed in 2006, the band consists of lead singer and flautist Alia O'Brien, guitarist Sean Kennedy, bassist Lucas Gadke, and drummer Michael Carrillo, and they create a unique brand of psychedelic doom influenced by 60’s prog-rock bands as well as heavier names like Black Sabbath.
Described as ‘Toronto’s most original band’, Blood Ceremony released their self-titled debut in 2008, paving the way for two more records and years of touring North America and Europe, where they have a particularly strong following.
