Bolton Wanderers Tickets, Fixtures & Matches in 2025/2026Last Updated: 12 Jan 2023 1:26pm
One of the twelve founder members of the Football League, Bolton Wanderers were originally known as Christ Church FC when they formed in 1874 by Sunday School teacher, Thomas Ogden.
Their current name was adopted in 1877 after the club initially had a lot of difficulty finding a permanent ground to play on, having used three venues in its first four years of existence. Burnden Park was for over 100 years their home, they now play at the University of Bolton Stadium, which was previously called the Macron Stadium and before that the Reebok Stadium when it was first opened in 1997. Bolton supporters name Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic, Oldham Athletic, and Bury as their biggest rivals. The club, referred to as The Trotters, have won the FA Cup Final four times, but not since 1958. You can track Bolton Wanderers fixtures, find out about presales and get ticket price alerts!
