Bruce Dickinson is a singer-songwriter from Nottinghamshire, best known as the plane-flying frontman of iconic metal heavy metal band Iron Maiden.
Starting his professional music career in 1979, he joined new wave metal band Samson, before leaving to join Iron Maiden in 1981. He left the band in 1993 to pursue a solo career, re-joining in 1999. His debut solo album, 'Tattooed Millionaire' dropped in 1990, followed five further LPs. His most recent solo record, 2005's 'Tyranny Of Souls', is the only non-Iron Maiden album he has released since re-joining the band. As well as his musical and avian ventures, he has previously presented his own radio show on BBC Radio 6 Music that ran for eight years, has dabbled in tv documentary presenting, written a series of novels and film scripts, created a his own beer and competed at fencing at an international level. He'll release his new album and comic book series, 'The Mandrake Project', in March 2024. Bruce Dickinson will support 'The Mandrake Project' with a UK tour in May 2024, before heading across Europe throughout the spring/summer.
