Carla Bruni Sarkozy (born Carla Gilberta Bruni Tedeschi) is an Italian-French singer-songwriter and model. In 2008, she married Nicolas Sarkozy, the former President of France.
Bruni led a modelling career from 1987 to 1997 before converting to music. She wrote several songs for Julien Clerc that featured on his 2000 album, 'Si j'étais elle'. Bruni released her first album, 'Quelqu'un m'a dit' in 2002, which spent thirty-four weeks in the top 10 of the French Album Chart. She won a Victorie during the 2007 Victoires de la Musique ceremony for Female Artist of the Year. The same year, Bruni released her second album, 'No Promises', which was followed by 'Comme si de rien n'était' in 2008, 'Little French Songs' in 2013 and 'French Touch' in 2017. Her self-titled most recent LP landed in October 2020. Carla Bruni is set to play a headline show at London's Cadogan Hall in October 2021.
