Chick Corea Elektric Band is an American jazz fusion band led by Chick Corea, and currently consisting also of John Patitucci, Frank Gambale, Dave Weckl and Eric Marienthal.
Formed in 1986, the band released a self-titled album in 1986, which was followed by, ‘Light Years’, a year later, ‘Eye of the Beholder’, in 1988, ‘Inside Out’, in 1990, ‘Beneath the Mask’ in 1991 and ‘Elektric Band II: Paint the World’ in 1993 before the band took a break. They returned in 2004 with the latest album, ‘To the Stars’. Chick Corea Elektric Band are set to play London’s Barbican Hall in June.
