Armando Anthony Corea - or, as you probably know him better, Chick Corea - is an American jazz and fusion pianist and composer hailing from Chelsea, Massachusett. Born in 1941, he was one of the driving forces in the electric jazz movement, and is known for his time in Miles Davis' band as well as a solo star. He's also played his part in a vast number of bands and projects, releasing countless singles and albums over the years.
He's been active in the music scene for over 50 years, and over the length of his career he's seen his music evolve with his age - but somehow, he managed to excel at every style and genre that took his fancy, and his trophy cabinet is rather packed. As of 2013, he's still writing, recording, and releasing music, and is still performing on stage too.
