Chip—real name Jahmaal Fyffe, but you may know him by his former stage name Chipmunk—is a grime artist, rapper and songwriter from Tottenham, London.
His music career began when he uploaded the song Who Are You? to YouTube in 2004, and by 2008 he had won two MOBO Awards for Best UK Newcomer and Best Hip-Hop act. The following year, his debut album ‘I Am Chipmunk’ arrived, and he has since expanded his discography to include seven full-length records; his most recent being 2024's 'Hedgehog Felt'. He's had several Top Ten singles in the UK Singles Chart, including the #1 hit Oopsy Daisy, and has collaborated with some of the biggest artists in hip hop, R&B and grime, such as Meek Mill, T.I., Emeli Sandé, Plan B, Stormzy, Wretch 32, Kano and Skepta. Chip Presents: Grime Scene Saviours—a special show celebrating his local scene and beyond—which takes over London's Exhibition on June 21, 2025.
