Christina Perri is an American singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born in 1986, Perri would first pick up the guitar at age 16, and was often seen performing and singing in musical theatre throughout her youth.
Perri got her break after an original piece she wrote back in 2009 - Jar of Hearts - was passed on to the producers of So You Think You Can Dance, who used it in the show. It would go on to sell tens of thousands of copies (over 100,000 within one month!), and her path in music was sealed. A deal with Atlantic Records would soon follow, and shortly after that, her debut record ‘Lovestrong’ would hit shelves, reaching Top 5 in the US and Top 10 in the UK. In its wake, Perri would tour across the world and perform massive shows, including support slots alongside Jason Mraz. Her second LP ‘Head or Heart’ was released in March 2014, repeating the chart success of her first and once again earning her a high profile support slot - this time alongside Demi Lovato - and a headline concert tour of her own.
