He started his music career in 1971, as a member of the band Flash, before launching a solo career in 1978, after signing with Warner Bros. He released his debut self-titled album in 1979, which featured the single Ride Like the Wind, Sailing, and Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do), and led to him winning five Grammy Awards and an Oscar. He has released 15 albums across his career, the latest being 2017's Take Me As I Am. Christopher Cross will tour the UK in autumn 2019.
