Bring Me The Horizon’s front man, Oli Sykes will be opening his first Drop Dead flagship store in Brick Lane, London on May 1st 2010.

Oli, who started the alternative street wear brand in 2005 with just several t-shirt designs, said, "I never imagined when I created those first few tee shirts that I would one day be opening a shop in London. I’ve been in Sweden for 6 weeks recording our 3rd album and fly back in London on the morning of the opening. How the shop looks in the flesh is going to be as much a surprise to me as it is to everyone turning up on the day – but it’s really exciting and I’m really looking forward to it."

Australia's biggest band, Powderfinger, have announced that they will be no more following touring commitments this year, which includes their final UK & Ireland tour.

The Aussie rockers are set to hit the UK & Ireland next week for a 7 date tour.

Last Friday, media were welcomed to The Annandale Hotel in Sydney, where Powderfinger sat on the same stage they first performed on almost twenty years ago. Bernard Fanning read a statement on behalf of his fellow band members - Jon Coghill, John Collins, Ian Haug and Darren Middleton.

Strolling on stage in his signature casual jeans and shirt, Noel Gallagher coolly poised himself on his stool, offered the audience a quick nod and hello before strumming into opening track It’s Good to Be Free. This man didn’t muck about, and rightly so.
