Leicestershire indie giants Kasabian have announced details of a warm-up gig ahead of their headline appearance at this year’s V Festival.

Summer 2009 saw the band hit the Number One spot with their third studio album ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ and since then the band have gone on to win an array of awards including the Brit for Best British Group, Q and NME awards for Best Album as well as the recent MOJO Song Of The Year award for ‘Fire’, which also saw the group present guitar legend Jimmy Page with his MOJO Hall Of Fame award.
Kasabian are set to headline this year’s V Festival which takes place as two sites in both Chelmsford and Staffordshire over the weekend of August 21st-22nd. Other artists already confirmed to play at the festival include modfather Paul Weller, dance icons Prodigy and pop star Cheryl Cole.
