Seattle’s Band Of Horses have revealed details of a full UK tour for January and February 2011.
Fresh from their successful debut performances at the Reading and Leeds festivals last weekend, South Carolina’s Band of Horses have announced that they will be bringing their brand of soaring, fuzzed-out Americana back to the UK early next year.
It has been a massive year for Band of Horses who, following the release of their third album ‘Infinite Arms’, have been described by the NME as “the American export of the year”. Released last May ‘Infinite Arms’ achieved worldwide critical acclaim and prompted the band to hit the road almost straight away, which included a high-profile support slot for Pearl Jam on the iconic grunge band’s recent North American tour. Band of Horses also performed this side of the Atlantic with a sold-out show at London’s Camden Roundhouse as well as a run of UK and European festivals, a highlight of which saw the band play a landmark show to 22,000 fans in Malmo, Sweden.
It seems that their unmistakable dreamy, psychedelic pop-laced indie sound, crafted by the cohesive force of all five members, plays as well overseas as it does at home with Band of Horses currently finishing off a European tour. Returning to North America next month for a few more shows, January 2011 will see Band of Horses head straight back out to European soil for another anticipated tour.
