American Idol star Adam Lambert has confirmed he will be touring the UK in the autumn, bringing his theatrical show across the county this November.
Currently touring the US with his 'Glam Nation' tour, the American Idol runner-up spoke to Billboard about what influences his shows. “The shows are visually inspired by turn-of-the-century New Orleans...a kitschy, glam, voodoo, crystal ball, black magic kind of look with a lot of psychedelic, classic rock visual references. Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Keith Richards – those are the people who have inspired the look and feel of the show. I had fun with the projectionist and my costume designer and...the show has its own little world.”
Continuing to talk about his upcoming visit to the UK, Lambert continued. “We're coming to the UK in the Fall, I dont know if its going to be the same show. We're trying to play in spaces that more intimate.”
Announcing a four-date tour of the UK, Adam Lambert will kick-off the string of shows at Birmingham’s O2 Academy on November 26th. The pop star will then call in at Acadmey venues in Manchester and Glasgow before closing the tour at London's Shepherds Bush Empire November 29th.
