Despite rumours of a new album, it seems that Faith No More are to break up once and for all at the end of this year. Members of the band have announced that their reunion is to come to an end after a final show in Santiago, Chile in December.
On Friday 10th September, bassist Billy Gould tweeted: “Santiago, Chile. DEC 5.... Our Final Show of FNM Reunited 2.0....” A short time later, keyboard player Roddy Bottum confirmed the news on his own Twitter page: “It's true, we're giving Santiago what they've asked for. We're wrapping up the FNM reunited tour in Santiago, Chile on December 5!!!!”
The Californian rockers, who were very successful during the ‘90s, originally reformed to headline Download Festival in June last year after an eleven-year split. This appearance was soon followed by a number of other European festival dates before the band decided to remain together for a full-scale world tour.
A few stories of a possible new Faith No More album had been in circulation, but now it appears that this will not be the case. The members of the band will, once again, go their separate ways and return to other projects.
