Having formed in late 2008 in the New York district of Queens, Freelance Whales burst on to the music scene late last year following some attention grabbing shows at CMJ and SXSW festivals, and the stateside release of their glowingly received debut, 'Weathervanes'. Yesterday it was announced that the band's 'Generator 2nd Floor' is to be the soundtrack to the launch of the all new Twitter.
Social networking tool, Twitter, has been described as one of the best ways to discover what’s new in your world. From football to film to philanthropy, people are using Twitter to discover what’s new about what they find interesting. Following in the footsteps of the biggest social networks such as Facebook and MySpace, Twitter has undergone a revamp which will make the site much more easier and faster for its users who will be able to view photos, videos and other media within their Twitter profile.
Releasing a snazzy new video to promote the changes, Twitter have chosen Freelance Whales' 'Generator 2nd Floor' as the soundtrack to the video. You can check out the video here..
Meanwhile, away from Twitter, Freelance Whales have their very OWN video for new track 'Hannah', which you can watch below.
