Pete Lawrie's Invites Welsh Hip-Hop Label To Remix 'All That We Keep'

Singer-songwriter Pete Lawrie has invited welsh hip-hop label AssociatedMinds to remix the lead track from his latest EP 'All That We Keep'.

Upcoming star Pete Lawrie was discovered by Rollo Armstrong, more famously known as one third of the band Faithless and the brother to singer-songwriter Dido. Rising to fame since signing to Field Records in 2008, Lawrie, who is now part of Island Records, the home of Amy Winehouse, has been feverishly touring, writing and recording pretty much non-stop.

The new remix sees AssociatedMinds producer P.L.O taking the helm, agreeing to flip the original with Canadian rapper and Polaris Prize nominee Shad, a man currently amongst artists at the top of the global emceeing ladder, contributing vocals .

After the success of his 2005 debut album 'When This Is Over', Shad was heralded as one of Canada's finest new music talents and was subsequently signed by Black Box Recordings before progressing to release his second album 'The Old Prince'.

Teaming up with AssociatedMinds executive producer and multi-instrumentalist P.L.O for the remix of 'All That We Keep', the new track features the song's original lyrics taken on a journey from the ketamine rock of the opening bars, right through to the soul-clap gospel of the last.
