Mercury nominee Laura Marling has announced a short run of UK dates for late autumn.
20-year old Laura Marling is yet to have to experience the full on mainstream attention that her other radio friendly indie girls have had, but the singer has never disappointed fans and critics alike with her brand of underground folk music.
Her 2008 debut album 'Alas I Cannot Swim', which, like her most recent album 'I Speak Because I Can', gained Mercury Prize nomination for her striking melodies and poetic lyricism and put her at the forefront of the London folk scene. Quite an achievement considering the tough competition from the likes of more mainstream folk-pop acts such as Mumford and Sons and Noah and the Whale.
Having already toured with a number of well known acts, the singer-songwriter has announced a string of solo shows for November and December. No doubt showcasing material from both of her Mercury nominated albums, Marling has confirmed the below UK shows, with more dates expected to be added over the next week or two.
