Kyuss Lives Announce 2011 UK Shows & Tickets

Three quarters of legendary stoner rock band Kyuss have reunited, with guitarist Josh Homme deciding to sit things out. The band look set to play their first concerts in 15 years, following the announcement of four UK shows for March 2011.

As yet there is no official reason why Josh Homme wont be reuniting with his fomer band-mates, however, the continuing success with Queens Of The Stone Age as well as his commitments alongside John Paul Jones and Dave Grohl in Them Crooked Vultures could have something to do with it. The band are to introduce an unknow guitarist as Homme's replacement and tour under the moniker of Kyuss Lives.

Between 1991 and 1995 Kyuss release four albums with only two featuring the line-up of bassist Nick Olivieri, drummer Brant Bjork, singer John Garcia and guitarist Josh Homme. Splitting over a decade ago, California group were subjected to reunion rumours after reports surfaced that a European Tour was being planned. Those rumours have now been confirmed with the announcement that Kyuss are to hit the road again in March next year.

The band are reportedly set to complete a lengthy European tour, with the group alread confirming they will stop by the UK for four concerts. More dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Kyuss Lives will begin their run of UK shows on March 31st and will conclude with a show at London's HMV Forum.

Kyuss Lives have announced the following 2011 UK concerts:

March 2011

31st - Rock City, Nottingham

April 2011

1st - Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton
2nd – HMV Forum, London
6th – O2 Academy, Bristol
