Francis Rossi Confirms String Of 2011 UK Solo Shows & Tickets

Ok folks, dig out the blue jeans, heads down, legs apart, thumbs in belt-hooks and get ready for some three-chord heaven! Lead singer and guitarist of Status Quo, Francis Rossi, has announced plans to hit the road for some solo shows early next year.
Now in his 60s, the iconic rockstar, minus the ponytail, has announced a string of dates for UK tour in February 2011. The solo shows will kick-off in the new year, following a winter tour by Rossi's band Status Quo this December.
With a staggering back catatlogue of over 20 years of solo material, as well as a load of Quo classics, these solo shows will see Rossi give an unmissable performance for any fan rock. Expect a set full of air-guitar, hair-swishing songs from Rossi's latest 'One Step at a Time' album, which was released earlier this year in May.
Talking about his solo performances last May, Francis Rossi commented, "I never stop writing songs and melodies but there have been many tracks over the years that just weren't right for Quo. These songs have been gathering dust in my mind for too long and now seems the right time to showcase them. It's a big step for me but I hope to see lots of the same faces out there on the road!"
Hitting the road again in early 2011, Francis Rossi has announced the following initial UK shows:

Weds 2nd – The Lowry Centre, Salford Quays
Thurs 3rd – O2 ABC, Glasgow
Sat 5th – O2 Academy, Oxford
Sun 6th – Corn Exchange, Brighton
Mon 7th – Waterfront, Norwich
Tues 8th – O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, London
