Heavy metal legends Iron Maiden have extended their 2011 UK tour, adding a second London show for their visit next August.
They promised they'd be back! Heavy metal giants Iron Maiden announced just over a week ago they will be hitting the UK road next year as the band continue their Final Frontier World Tour!
The announcement came following a message that was posted on the band's official website two weeks ago, simply saying 'THURSDAY 11th NOVEMBER – 12 NOON GMT'. The message was backed-up with an image of the Union Jack flag fueling rumours that the band were to announce some UK tour dates.
The rumours were confirmed with the announcment revealing that Iron Maiden, with their crew and many tons of equipment, will hit the UK roads in June 2011 on their continuing mammoth Final Frontier World Tour, playing 10 shows.
The tour follows the release of Iron Maiden's fifteenth studio album 'The Final Frontier' which has sold more than 800,000 copies since its release earlier this year in mid-August. During their 30-year career, the metal legends have to date sold roughly 85 million records.
The first show will be on July 20th at Glasgow's SECC with shows also confirmed for Newcastle, Sheffield, Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Belfast and London (full dates below).
