Hot new soul boy Nathan Watson is back in town. Following the huge success of his recent live dates he plays London's Scala on December 6th.
Along with his full band, Nathan takes to the stage at 7.30pm as Special Guest to US artist Melanie Fiona. Doors open 7pm. The following night, December 7th, at 7.30pm Nathan plays unplugged - just voice and guitar - opening for David Jordan at Monzo Water Rats, London.
Known for his eclectic fresh soul-funk sound, Nathan provides a taster of just how good he is live by performing at this Saturday’s pedestrian-only Christmas bonanza in Oxford Street. He plays an unplugged set at 2.30pm on November 27th.
Nathan is already causing a stir on the soul scene. Rave reviews have come in for his live performances and he’s reaped praise across the board for his recently released single 'Reach Out (You’ve Got A Friend)'. New dance mixes of the track are now available and an EP is scheduled for release early next year. His debut album, 'Student of Life', is also scheduled for early 2011 release.
Nathan Watson is a terrific front man with some cool riffs... but he also has a diverse history. Once heading in a bad direction he turned his life around and in 2009 he was awarded the Cambell-Younge Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Community. He contributed to a recent Help For Heroes single alongside Paul McCartney, Ronnie Wood and Michael Bolton and has also given time freely for various other charities.
