Take That singer Gary Barlow has shown Robbie Williams the cold shoulder today by stating that he believes the band will become a four-piece once more.
Robbie Williams returned to the boyband last year to record their chart-topping album ‘Progress’ and to prepare for a lengthy stadium tour, which the band are soon to embark on. However, speaking to Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 this morning, Barlow stated that William’s return was far from permanent.
He said: “I think even moving forward, I know we’re back with Rob right now, but we still see our future as a four piece band. We see Take That as a four piece band in general.” Neither Williams nor the rest of the band have remarked on Barlow’s comment so far.
Meanwhile, Barlow is preparing to play a special birthday show at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire tomorrow night. The one-off show, dubbed ‘GB40’ is a celebration of the singer’s 20-year singing career to date, performed in front of a select audience of family, friends and winning ticket holders. The set will also be broadcast live on BBC Radio from 8-10pm. All profits from the evening will be going to charity.
