Abigail Washburn Releases New Album ‘City of Refuge’

Singer and Americana musician Abigail Washburn is to release her third album ‘City of Refuge’ on 24th January. The album’s release will coincide with a number of UK live dates at the end of the month. The album features contributions from Chris Funk of the Decemberists and Carl Broemel of My Morning Jacket.
Abigail Washburn released her debut solo album ‘Song of the Travelling Daughter’ in 2005. Two of the tracks on the album were sung in Mandarin, which Abigail learned while living in China. She has also recorded albums with the bands Sparrow Quartet and Uncle Earl, whose fifth album ‘Waterloo, Tennessee’ was produced by John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin and Them Crooked Vultures.
