Jettblack will be touring the UK in May, co-headlining with Heaven’s Basement on a run of 11 shows.
This tour is the first time these two homegrown rock acts have shared a stage, and will follow in the wake of Jettblack’s current series of UK dates Special Guesting with Grinspoon – one of Australia’s most consistently successful acts.
According to Jettblack drummer Matt Oliver: "This tour is something we’re totally fired up for – we’re ready to turn up the heat a few notches. We’re two bands with a different approach, but the same ultimate goal of destroying it each night, leaving a trail of musical destruction across the UK. We want to reward our loyal fans with something to remember, and of course make some new fans along the way..."
The dates of the Jettblack/Heaven’s Basement UK tour are as follows:
MAY 2011
5th – Leicester, Sub 91
6th – York, Duchess
7th – Grimsby, Yardbirds
8th – Manchester, Moho Live
10th – Nottingham, Rock City
11th – Trillian’s, Rock Bar
12th – Wolverhampton, Slade Room
13th – Sheffield, Corporation
15th – Wrexham, Central Station
19th – Southampton, Talking Heads
22nd – Exeter Cavern
Jettblack have played with bands such as Whitesnake & Airbourne, appeared at some of the major UK festivals (Download, T In The Park, Hard Rock Hell), picked up airplay on Radio One & XFM, and been tipped as ‘ones to watch’ in the music press.
The band recently released ‘Not Even Love’ as a single – the fourth track to be taken from their debut ‘Get Your Hands Dirty’ album, released on the Spinefarm label in 2010.
They will shortly be starting work on Album No. 2, due for release this autumn.
