Willow Smith has released the video for her upcoming single, ‘21st Century Girl’. Starting with an extended dramatic sequence, the promo goes on to depict the 10-year-old being chased by wolves and pulling objects including a guitar, shoes, a car and a skyscraper out of the desert ground.
The single, which is the follow-up to Smith’s hugely successful ‘Whip My Hair’, also sees the young singer performing a lively dance routing complete with her trademark head banging.
Speaking about the track to ET yesterday, the young singer said: "To be a 21st century girl means that you're practicing at what you want to do, and that you're being adventurous, and you're being confident, and you're being yourself."
Smith continued to describe her love for the styling behind the video as she added: "I want people to feel the emotions that I did when I was recording the songs." The singer is yet to set a release date for her debut album, but hinted on Twitter last month that the release will be coming “very soon”.
