Lil' Rascals Retrun With New Name and New Promo 'Re-Introduce'

UK Rap group ‘Lil Rascals’ have re-formed themselves and re-named themselves, and are now set to ‘re-introduce’ themselves back into the music industry.

Kay Willz, Big Shizz, Tempz, Merkz and Ryan De La Cruz now form Rascals, the more mature and grown up (both physically and musically) group that will be storming the UK rap scene from now onwards.

Having worked with and alongside artists such as Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryder, N-Dubz, Roll Deep, Wiley, Ironik, J Cole, Bless Beats, Sway, Ghetts, Crazy Cousinz and Maxsta, the guys are back with their brand new promo “Re-introduce”, released May 2011 as part of their Mixtape Sagas.

Late 2007, aged just twelve & thirteen Big Shizz, Tempz and Merkz release their debut double sided single “New Era/ Future Wifey” to TV and radio.

“Future Wifey” was their official version excursion on Fluke's (Crazy Cousinz) infamous “Wifey Riddim”. Released on 16th July 2007 – “New Era” went straight into the Channel AKA (formerly known as Channel U, UK's No.1 Urban Youth Music Channel) Chart at No. 5, remaining there for a further 13 weeks, followed by another 12 weeks in the Top 20.

Fast forward Summer 2010, with over four million internet hits, and currently generating approximately 10,000 combined YouTube hits per week, Big Shizz, Tempz, Merkz (Rascals) and Ryan De La Cruz decide it’s time to get back to work, recruit long time Bow resident and childhood friend, Singer/Emcee - 17 year-old Kay Willz (Ex – Mucky Wolfpack member) and hit the studio.

Now having recently signed to UK music executive, Steve Long’s (Inferno Records / Mis-teeq) new Management group SBD, and sponsored by Puma and Diesel clothing, 2011 looks like being a very interesting year for the new look ‘Team Rascals’.

The reformed group will be hitting the road in April and May too, where you can catch them at any of the following dates:

TUE 12th APRIL – Pure Bar & Lounge, Basingstoke
FRI 22nd APRIL - Glasgow
SAT 23rd APRIL - Irvine
SUN 24th APRIL – Kilmarnock
TUE 26th APRIL – Play, Hereford
TUE 31st MAY - Chilli White, Bournemouth
