Cee Lo Green has today confirmed that he will eventually enter the studio with Danger Mouse to record a third Gnarls Barkley album. In an interview with American network CNN, the ‘Lady Killer’ star confessed that it was only a matter of time until the pair reunite and enter the studio again.
Speaking about the reunion, he said: "Gnarls Barkley, of course, it's an enigma, if you will...It's a monster. It's a noun. It's a person, place and thing, you know what I'm saying? So when I'm emotionally able to go back in that hole in the wall, I'll go back in there. And Danger Mouse will be waiting for me, Afro intact."
He continued: "We have an awful lot in common. He's a very funny guy. You wouldn't know it. He's very smart. I've described Danger Mouse on a few occasions as a picket fence around my garden of wildflowers. Can you dig it? Makes sense."
Gnarls Barkley shot to fame in 2006 with their track ‘Crazy’. Their last studio album, ‘The Odd Couple’ was released in 2008.
Green also confirmed that he is planning a separate reunion with hip-hop act Goodie Mob. The singer reunited with his bandmates last Saturday (March 12th) to perform a track in Las Vegas.
