Following a Q Award nomination, an iTunes Top Ten album and huge radio success with singles 'Demons' and 'Lies', Northants quartet Fenech-Soler are set to release new single 'Stop and Stare' on 18th April. Check out the video below.
Fuelled by driving house beats, glittering synths and wistful vocals that leave you pining for hazy summertime fun, 'Stop and Stare' is a glistening pop gem of anthemic proportions. As it builds to it’s fuzzy widescreen climax, this beautifully catchy slice of synth-pop is sure to ignite dancefloors the length and breadth of the country.
In recent months the band’s upward trajectory has continued to sharply incline with both singles 'Lies' and 'Demons' being playlisted by Radio 1, a storming Radio 1 Live Lounge performance, nominations for best new band at the Q Awards and for XFM’s best debut album of 2010 and tastemakers such as Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Greg James and Groove Armada all declaring themselves as big fans.
'Stop and Stare' is the third single from the band’s highly acclaimed self-titled debut album. Since it’s release in September the album has received widespread critical praise with trendsetting sites such as online dance music magazine Data Transmission naming it as one of their best albums of 2010 and the Guardian describing it as the “the best recent record of it’s genre”, 4/5.
Conceived in the hinterlands of Northamptonshire, brothers Ben and Ross Duffy and their childhood friends Daniel Soler and Andrew Lindsay have steadily garnered a burgeoning live following for their self-produced, shimmering brand of electro-pop and have cemented themselves as one of the most exciting new bands on the circuit. With UK shows selling out in record time and songs that are designed to take the summer festivals by storm, 2011 is set to be a big year for Fenech-Soler.
