Britney Spears unveiled the video for ‘Till The World Ends’ online this morning. The track is the second to be taken from her successful seventh studio LP, ‘Femme Fetale’.
Directed by Ray Kay (the man responsible for Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’ and Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’ videos), the video shows Spears dancing in the last days of a post-apocalyptic party state. The singer is depicted in an underground room, seemingly happy to spend her days in a space full of sweaty men with chiselled chins and unusually white teeth. If these really is supposed to be the last days of earth where’s all the rats, plague and nuclear fallout, eh?
It is believed that two versions of the video will eventually be released: one will focus on the ‘end of days’ storyline, while the other will be more of a choreography-cut to showcase Spears’s dance moves.
The track was rush-released early last month after it leaked online. Written by Ke$sha and producer Dr. Luke, the song is a dancefloor-ready anthem, screaming the word “pop charts” with every second bass beat. Speaking on Twitter this morning, Spears showed her excitement about the video as she said: "I'm so excited that you all can finally see the 'Till The World Ends' video!"
