Coldplay have unveiled the music video to their latest single 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall'. The track is the first to be released from their as-of-yet untitled fifth studio album, and was received with rapturous applause as it was chosen as the closing number for their impressive headline set at Glastonbury festival on Saturday (June 25th).
The video is a complex sequence of live footage and stop-motion camera techniques, which sees the English four-piece performing on an abandoned factory floor surrounded by fluorescent letters and designs.
The promo also features the band donning their ‘neon rave’ outfits once more, another indication that the band have moved from their revolutionary costume design of ‘Viva La Vida’ on to a different costume ‘theme’ for their new LP.
Although it is believed that the song will feature on Coldplay’s upcoming studio album, ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’ was released as part of a 3-track EP on Monday (June 27th). Also on the EP are tracks ‘Major Minus’ and the extended ballad ‘Moving To Mars’.
