Florence & The Machine fans could be in for a treat tomorrow as frontwoman Florence Welch revealed through her Twitter that something “very special” would be happening on her website at 5pm tomorrow.
Fans are expecting a preview of the band’s second studio album, which Florence and co. have confirmed is finished, but it is totally unknown what they have in store for users tomorrow evening. A new album would be their first since 2009’s ‘Lungs’.
Welch wrote “Hello interworld, I'm out of the studio and into the sunshine! Pop over to my website at 5pm tomorrow for a peek at something very special x”. Just minutes later she continued, and jokingly wrote “And it's not just footage of me riding my bike in 90's florals...x”.
The most likely outcome of the sneak peek is the debut of new tracks, after played one of their latest songs while playing in California in June – but it is unknown whether ‘What the Water Gave Me’ will feature on a new album.
Stereoboard will keep you up-to-date on any Florence and the Machine news as it arises.
