Was Sony Distribution Centre Robbed Just Hours Before Fires Started?

Reports emerged today that the previously reported stories about the fire at Sony’s distribution centre may not be entirely true – and that the stock was mostly stolen by a professional gang of thieves just hours before the fire that burnt the insides of the building was started.

The reports, from the Daily Telegraph, claim that the robbers used the riots as a distraction while they emptied the warehouse of stock, which had only a depleted security team on hand. No police were able to be called to the scene due to the huge disturbances all over London, so once an initial team of specialists had cut through security gates and fences, a team of MK1 Mini Coopers white vans turned up to carry out hundreds of thousands (or possibly even millions) in stolen goods.

Apart from CDs and vinyl that would be held in the warehouse, there were PlayStations, televisions, DVDs/Blu-rays, and more inside which were loaded on to the vans and taken away to the secret lairs of the criminal masterminds.

The highly-skilled gang is then said to have goaded other gangs as well as youths, looters and rioters into attacking the building to take the heat away from them – which could have led to the fire which ruined tonnes of stock.

There have been five arrests following the scenes but they are more likely to be individual looters and arsonists rather than the professional gang that allegedly committed what would be one of the crimes of the century; two were just 17 while the rest were between 18-23.

The story may seem a little farfetched for you, but hey, earlier I wrote about Jack White collaborating with Mozart and two clown rappers, so anything’s possible. Tell us what you believe in the comment section.
