Tribes to Play Free Gig in London Next Week

Indie-rock quartet Tribes are to play a free show in London next week as part of A Typical Day On Golden Beach at the Village Underground in Shoreditch on Friday 16th September. The venue will host a night of music celebrating the collaboration of new London and Canarian talent. For more details on A Typical Day On Golden Beach visit the Village Underground website.

Tribes will headline the event, while Resonance from The Canary Islands will be playing their first UK gig. Other live music will come from TWINS, Bikini Invaders, and J. Krawietz Goes Electro. There will also be DJ sets from Le Victor and Jeff Automatic. Other entertainment comes from performance artists Carlos Gamonal and Oliver Berhmann, who will be warming up for Tribes by carrying out an autopsy on an alien made of pastry and offering its body to be devoured by the crowd in a piece entitled ‘Have You Ever Eaten an Alien?’ Canarian graffiti artist Matias Mata will join forces with local talent to produce a huge 18-metre work to go on display.

Tribes’ debut album ‘Baby’ is due for release on 1st November. The video to their recent single ‘Sappho’ can be watched below. The band will be touring the UK throughout October and November – see below for dates and tickets.
