Take That's Gary Barlow Steps In For Lionel Richie At BBC Radio 2 Hyde Park Gig

Take That’s Gary Barlow has been drafted in a super-sub for BBC Radio 2’s Live in Hyde Park gig after soul singer Lionel Ritchie pulled out due to an illness.
The huge show, billed as ‘A festival in a day’, is set to take place in London’s Hyde Park this Sunday (11th) and has a line-up full of superstars including Lenny Kravitz, Jools Holland and his band, and James Blunt. And, although concert-goers may have been disappointed by Ritchie’s last-minute decision to pull-out, they’ve been gifted with the addition of Gary Barlow, a man currently on fire after recently finishing an absolutely huge Take That tour, as well as earning the judges spot on X-Factor. The full line-up includes even more names, including Pop Idol winner Will Young, folk band Bellowhead, soul and folk singer Jonathan Jeremiah, R&B artist Beverly Knight, and Caro Emerald – who amazingly managed to out-sell Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ back in her native Netherlands. Jools Holland will be accompanied by guests Sandie Shaw and Ruby Turner for his set.
