Michael Jackson Thriller Flashmob Wow Cardiff Cafe Quarter

After the massive Michael Forever tribute concert on the weekend, the streets of Cardiff were filled with thousands upon thousands of Jackson fans and some of them simply could not contain their passion for the star – so much that they broke into MJ’s iconic ‘Thriller’ dance in the middle of the street.
Local companies organised the flash mob to impress the countless amounts of tourists who were in Cardiff for the first time, as well as to add to the party atmosphere around the city (and obviously for a bit of publicity!). As pedestrians walked down the street, they were greeted by the sounds of the classic Jackson song – and by some zombified dance students Ceroc South Wales Dance School.
One of the businesses involved in the organisation of the mob, Ladybird Club owner Gianluca Malacrino,was pleased with the success of the impromptu dance.
“This flash mob wowed the public on Mill Lane and really added excitement to the already buzzing ambience of those people visiting the city for the Michael Jackson tribute concert.”
Lyndsey Chivers, the owner of Ceroc South Wales Dance School, was equally as happy with the results.
“We had a brilliant time performing this easy flash mob for the public and were pleased so many people joined in with the party atmosphere,” said Chivers. We only got the call on Thursday so it was very last minute for our 20 dancers but it was memorable – we never get tired of a legend like Michael Jackson.”
