Cornish folk trio 3 Daft Monkeys are to head out on a tour of the UK this week ahead of the release of their new single ‘Days of the Dance’. The single is due out on 13th November and is the latest to be taken from the band’s fourth album ‘The Antiquated and the Arcane’. See below to watch the video to ‘Days of the Dance’ and for 3 Daft Monkeys tour dates and tickets.
‘The Antiquated and the Arcane’ is the latest album from 3 Daft Monkeys, released last year following 2008’s ‘Social Vertigo’. All of the band’s albums have been released through their own 3DM Records. The trio blend a mixture of world music styles with a traditional gypsy-folk sound. They have built up a strong reputation as a touring live act having previously performed at the likes of Glastonbury Festival. They have also toured frequently with Brighton-based folk rockers The Levellers. 2011 has seen 3 Daft Monkeys appear at a number of festivals including Towersey, Larmer Tree, Belladrum, Ely Folk Festival and Boomtown Fair. The band also won Best Live Act at this year’s Hancock Awards and Spiral Earth Awards.
