Australian pop singer-songwriter Kylie Minogue will be putting out her 12th studio album next year, it has been revealed.
The new record, which will come out on EMI Records, was recorded at the iconic Abbey Road studios and will be a celebration of the 25th anniversary of her first single release ‘Locomotion’. The album will feature reworking and rewritten Kylie classics including an orchestral version of 2000’s ‘On a Night Like This’.
“I’ve been at Abbey Road for about two weeks in total,” Kylie revealed. “Not just for this, I’ve been working on a project for next year. Next year’s my 25th anniversary so we’ve been recording acoustic and orchestral versions of a number of my hits.”
It was the second time Kylie had visited the studio in recent times, as she was there to record for EMI’s New Music Sessions. The project will feature live performances from artists like Professor Green and Emeli Sande.
