Award-winning folk rockers Bon Iver will be releasing their most unexpected material yet – a workout DVD starring Justin Vernon and co exercising and getting fit.
The band’s personal trainer Jeff Rogers got Vernon training hard, and although at the start he was a little reluctant to get into it, he admittedly felt better than ever before – and that he started wanting to work out more. Fast forward to now and they’re on the verge of releasing their very first fitness DVD. You can watch a trailer for the video below.
“The word 'workout' sort of sucks, it just doesn't make you feel good, it's sort of like, dorky or something and when I started working out with Jeff, I just felt so good, that I actually started wanting to do it more,” Vernon confessed.
DVD director Dan Huiting said: “It’s a legit workout DVD. Straight up, for real. It’s 45, 50 minutes. Literally, you can work out to it and have music from all the bands we like: Bon Iver, S. Carey, Megafaun, We are the Willows, and a couple others that escape me. It’s like a workout mixtape. You can workout to cool music instead of something stupid.”
