Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Announce Irish Shows Ahead Of Isle Of Wight Festival Appearance

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers have announced two Irish shows for early June 2012, ahead of their headline performance on Friday night of the Isle of Wight Festival 2012.

Tom Petty today confirmed the two shows; one at Dublin's O2 and another at Cork's Live At The Marquee. Full details of the shows are listed below with tickets going onsale from 9am on Tuesday 20th December.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Irish Live Dates are as follows:

June 2012

June 7th – The O2, Dublin
June 8th – Cork, Live At The Marquee

Following his Irish shows Tom Petty will join Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Pearl Jam, Elbow, Example, The Vaccines, Madness and The Christians for the Isle Of Wight Festival 2012. Only a handful of bands have been confirmed so far.

Tom Petty's Isle Of Wight appearance, which will top the bill on Friday 22nd June, will be his first major UK show in 20 years. Speaking about the booking, Isle Of Wight Festival promoter John Giddings commented: “We are proud to present Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers at the Isle of Wight Festival finally. 

It has taken years to achieve but I’m sure it will be worth the wait - they are one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time.”

Adult Camping - £190
Adult Non-Camping - £160
Child (7 to 12 years) Camping - £95
Child (7 to 12 years) Non-Camping - £80
Child (6 and under)- Free
Campervans - £100

All tickets are subject to booking fees. All children 6 years old and under on 22nd June 2012 can go free of charge but must still be included in your booking in order to receive a wristband.)
