American singer-songwriter Chris Brown has had his requests to end his probation, which he received for assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna, rejected by a Superior Court judge.
The star attacked the Barbados-born beauty in his car back in 2009, and was found guilty of assault. He was sentenced to six months of community labour, anger management classes and five years of probation. After completing his anger management and his community labour, as well as receiving praise from a number of different judges through the following two years of his probation, he plead with the courts to end his continuing probation early – but had his appeal denied.
Superior Court judge George Lomeli told Brown’s attorney, who was representing him in Brown’s absence, that though he believed that Brown had shown improvement and behaved during his probation so far, he should still report to a probation officer for the next couple of years.
Both Brown and Rihanna will be performing at the Grammy Award Ceremony this Sunday (February 12th).
