Young South Wales band One Way made their way to Cardiff's Coal Exchange yesterday, Sunday 12th February, to battle their way through to the regional finals of the UK's largest music competition Live And Unsigned.
Impressing with a performance of their own composition, titled 'Tears on my Windowsill', One Way astonished the judging panel before receiving a spontaneous applause from the 100 plus crowd that included other contestants all battling for a place in the finals.
This year’s Live And Unsigned competition is being filmed and will be broadcast on Sky Arts1. Whist at the Live And Unsigned audition, One Way were interviewed for the programme and the film crew will be visiting Hereford Music School - where One Way were all taught by music impresario Pete Goodall - next month to record a performance by the band.
Speaking about the filming, Pete Goodall commented: It's really a great honour for the band to be selected and followed through their progress by Sky.” One Way, consisting of Theo Beech, aged 13, Billy Kibble, aged 12, John Kyrle and 11-year-olds Lily Harper and Will Hewitt, will be recorded for a second time at the regional final of Live And Unsigned which takes place on Sunday 18th March.
