Coldplay's Chris Martin A 'Big Influence' On New Tinie Tempah Album

Hip-hop and pop star Tinie Tempah has revealed that Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been helping him with his new album – and said that the star has had a 'big influence' on the new record.

ImageTempah has been working on his new album 'Demonstration', which the star said is 'inspired by live performances', for over a year, and hopes to release it later this year. He recently told fans at the BRIT Awards that the record was sounding 'amazing' – and now he's revealed that he's been influenced by none other than Chris Martin.

Asked by NME if there would be collaborations with either Chris Martin or Dizzee Rascal on the LP, Tempah replied: “Everybody who I've said before and who you've mentioned I've been in with, whether they've vocal-ed something or listened to something or even mentored. Chris Martin has been quite an influence on this album.”

He went on to talk about a possible comparison between his forthcoming record and a Coldplay album, saying: “It's definitely a lot more progressive in the quality of the sound. I've been listening to Lykke Li and Lana Del Rey, the dynamics of the sound, how big and anthemic it gets.”

You can catch Tinie Tempah at the Isle of Wight Festival later this June. Click here to Compare & Buy Tinie Tempah Tickets at Stereoboard.
