Yashin (above) and The James Cleaver Quintet (below) have just announced that they will be opening up the exclusive UK show for American superstars Limp Bizkit at London’s Brixton Academy on 29th May.
Hailing from Glasgow, Scottish Six Piece Yashin have steadily assembled an army of fans across the UK and Europe with their distinctive sound and ability to capture live crowds. Yashin are extremely excited to share the stage with the rap-rock legends and Vocalist Kevin Miles says:
"It is such an honour for us to be asked to support Limp Bizkit! When I was growing up, my bedroom walls were plastered with 'Significant Other' posters ... and I never thought that in years to come I'd be given the opportunity to share the stage with my heroes. This will be our first time playing Brixton Academy and we cannot wait to take it to the Matthews Bridge!"
Joining Yashin will be a band that treads on everything you thought you knew about music. The James Cleaver Quintet have built a reputation around the country for tearing through uncompromising live performances, the band have managed to harness that uncontrollable energy and channel into their debut ‘That Was Then, This Is Now.’
Talking about the forthcoming shows, the band said: “When I was twelve I remember waiting for two hours for a clip of 'My Generation' to stream on my computer. As soon as it did I literally ran straight to my local record store to pick up 'Chocolate Starfish', and subsequently had it on repeat for at least half a year. Twelve years later and still it gets consistent van-time stereo play, so to say we're excited to be playing with the band that ruled my Walkman for the first year of secondary school, and way beyond, is an understatement. In the words of Fred himself - 'take 'em to the Mathews Bridge'.”
