British and Irish boyband The Wanted have confessed that they think Examples version of their new track ‘Chasing the Sun’ is better than their own – though they added that they would ‘sell it better’ than the rapper.
Example was the original songwriter of the track, and recorded a demo of his version of it – which resulted in him deciding that a boyband should perform the song instead. But, The Wanted have admitted that they think Example’s original version was better than their own – though they’re happy to make money from it!
“Example's version is better than ours,” The Wanted’s Max George told the Daily Star. “He thinks we can sell it better, which is true, but if we can sell it for him it'll be good for us and very nice for him too. I think he's happy to sit on the sidelines and make money.”
The group went on to talk about the track’s appearance on animated film Ice Age 4, with George joking: “Imagine The Wanted cartoon... they'd be so ugly. I'd be a tiny, bald fat man.”
You can catch The Wanted at a handful of dates this summer. Check the dates and details below to find out more.
